Joy Halverson, DVM
Dr. Joy Halverson is a veterinarian and DNA scientist living in northern California. She founded Zoogen, Inc., the first company to offer DNA testing services directly to the public. Famous for bird gender testing, Zoogen also developed the Canine DNA Testing used by the AKC for verifying the parentage of pedigree dogs. She created the Life Jewels as unique mementos for pets and people.
